Staff

Aiken Driving Academy prides itself on having the most professional, courteous, and qualified instructors to teach our youngest, most inexperienced drivers throughout the CSRA. For your convenience we have provided you a brief bio of our staff. Please take a minute and get to know everyone!

Steve Deibel / Owner/Founder – Steve is the Founder/Owner of ADA. He spent 16 years in law enforcement as well as private business. Since 2007 Steve has worked specifically with teen drivers in a program called Alive at 25. Alive at 25 is a teen defensive driving program through the National Safety Council that focuses young drivers on the behaviors of driving and not just the mechanics. Steve is the former Traffic Safety Coordinator for the National Safety Council. He was responsible for the Alive at 25 program statewide from 2009 – 2011. “I opened ADA to provide a professional, but fun place for teen drivers to learn about the business of driving. Most young drivers have no idea about what they’re about to take on, but through our programs they get their eyes opened and become safer drivers with the goal of beating the odds against them.”

Stephanie Dabbs / General Manager – Stephanie is our GM of all things ADA! She is responsible for the day to day operations and customer service. Her primary responsibility is scheduling and staffing our Aiken office. She will be your primary contact when you call or email us and if there’s an issue, she’ll make sure it gets handled and handled correctly. 🙂 Stephanie is married with 4 children and resides in Beech Island.

Sharon Mills / Administrative – Sharon is our Administrative Assistant. She works along side our GM and assists with scheduling and office duties as needed. If you’re not talking to Stephanie it’s probably Sharon!

Charlie Mills / Instructor & Examiner – Charlie is retired from SRS and spent most of his time at the site in a law enforcement capacity. Like the others he wants to give back to his community and this is one way he can do that in helping our most at risk age group stay safe behind the wheel. Stevie Huff / Instructor & Examiner – Stevie is retired from UPS with 36 years of SAFE MILES….NO WRECKS! Very impressive in a career where you drive all day, every day. His qualifications speak for themselves, but his passion for helping make our young drivers has safe as he was is why he’s at ADA! Stevie & his wife live in N. Augusta.

Reid Wightman / Instructor – Reid is retired from the Aiken County School District where he was a teacher/ coach for over 25 years. For many of those years he also taught driver education and enjoyed working with the kids so much that he wanted to continue in his retirement. Reid is married and has two children and resides in Aiken.
